Some things are made to last for generations and almost nothing is made to remember or care for them. Behind every considered room sits an extraordinary collection of objects, furniture, art, silver, wine, watches, the small and the irreplaceable. Each was chosen with care and each deserves to be kept with the same.

Yet the knowledge that holds it together rarely lives anywhere lasting. It sits in one person's memory, in a notebook by the laundry door, in a spreadsheet on a single laptop. When a member of staff moves on, that knowledge leaves with them. A care instruction is lost and a piece is damaged, a history is forgotten and a story ends, an item is reordered because no one knew it already existed.

IntusHQ was built to close that gap.

Its founder, Katy Jeffcoate, spent twenty-five years in the ultra high net worth industry, on yachts, across new build projects, and through the interior set-ups of some of the most demanding vessels ever built. For much of that time she led procurement, entrusted with orders worth millions, and with the objects those orders became. On every project, the same truth surfaced. The problem was never effort, the people in this world care deeply, the problem was information. Extraordinary things looked after with ordinary tools. Inventory systems built for warehouses, or software built for engineers. Nothing was built for the people who live closest to these objects, and and who are asked to keep them in perfect condition.

IntusHQ was made to care for these things as much as the people who look after them do. It gives a family a single place for everything they own, across property, yacht, aircraft and collection, and it holds each object the way it always should have been held. Every object is given its own profile, with its photograph, its provenance, its care and its history kept together. The family office holds the whole picture, each team sees precisely what it needs, and the knowledge remains long after the people who first recorded it have moved on.

IntusHQ is now live, shaped alongside the families and professionals it is built for. It is, quite simply, the system this world should always have had.

'Worth Knowing ' is a monthly letter from IntusHQ on the care of extraordinary things. Each issue considers a single idea, how the objects of a remarkable life are kept, protected and passed on, and the people entrusted with them. For family offices, estate and household teams, yacht crew, and the principals they serve.
